The compressed-air motor developed by Soldati AG offers significant advantages over conventional air motors. It is characterized in particular by its high efficiency and the resulting significantly lower compressed-air consumption.

The proprietary operating principle, which utilizes radial pistons, requires no connecting rods or crankshaft, as the star-shaped working pistons roll along a cam and are positively driven from the center. As a result, the motor achieves a high maximum starting torque, which is available even when the motor is at a standstill. Without a reduction gearbox, this low-speed motor runs smoothly starting at approximately 30 rpm and can be easily regulated across the entire speed range using throttles.
