The FANUC and UR cobots integrated into the G4T4 are equipped with torque sensors on each axis, enabling them to stop immediately in the event of a collision with people or objects (collaborative operation).
Non-collaborative operation — similar to that of a traditional industrial robot — is enabled by the optional 6 radar sensors, allowing the cobot to handle sharp-edged workpieces or use grippers that pose a risk of pinching or injury. This mode is also recommended for movements where undefined forces may occur, which would otherwise cause the cobot to stop frequently. Both collaborative and non-collaborative operating modes can be enabled and disabled in the program. When approaching the G4T4 within 2 meters, the cobot slows down or, if even closer, stops. Once removed from this area, the cobot resumes operation.
The cobots can be programmed very easily using drag-and-drop, and adjustments can be made or new parts and home positions can be taught.
The G4T4 is currently available with three payload capacities: 10 kg, 20 kg, or 30 kg. The reach is 1,250 mm (1,400 mm when fully extended). This allows them to cover a Euro pallet for loading and unloading.
